Cylinders, bundles or a liquid nitrogen tank: many manufacturers buy their nitrogen from a gas supplier. Between the gas price, container rental, transport and stock management, the bill is heavy. Producing nitrogen on site with a BOGE PSA generator changes the equation entirely.
How a PSA generator works
Air contains 78% nitrogen. The generator passes purified compressed air through a vessel filled with carbon molecular sieve, which holds back oxygen and lets nitrogen through. Two vessels alternate continuously: one produces while the other regenerates.
Payback criteria
Your consumption
The steadier and higher your consumption, the faster the payback. For continuous use it is often between 12 and 36 months.
The current cost of delivered gas
Add up the gas price, cylinder or tank rental, transport costs, evaporation losses and time spent managing deliveries.
The on-site production cost
It includes compressor energy, generator depreciation and its very low maintenance: a few filters and a periodic check.
Choosing the right purity
Purity directly affects flow, and so the size and price of the generator. Don’t pay for purity you don’t need.
- 95–97%: inerting, fire prevention, fruit storage
- 99–99.5%: food packaging, beverages, chemicals
- 99.9–99.999%: laser cutting, electronics, laboratories
Our support
Deutsche TechnicAir analyses your current consumption, sizes the compressor, air treatment and BOGE generator, prepares the payback calculation, then handles installation, commissioning and maintenance.
Frequently asked questions
Can the generator cover consumption peaks?
Yes, with a nitrogen buffer tank sized for your peaks. The modular BOGE system can also be extended later.
What if I need oxygen?
BOGE also offers PSA oxygen generators (O-P series) for 90 to 95% purity.
A question about your installation?
Our engineers assess your needs and propose the right BOGE solution.
